Don't give up. I'm 16 and i live in Wisconsin. I started flying with a sky scooter electric RTF. Even after doing that for 9 months when I got my Xtra Easy RTF, I failed. I was "cocking" i had no idea how to do it. Everything happened so fast. I went into a PIO or Pilot Induced Oscilation, I lost control and it climbed to about 200 ft before going ito a spin. I thought as I went to go get my wreck that that was it, no more, I felt so bad, and i had a near dead ego. I rebuilt it and i thought it looked great as an expensive decoration. I went to the hobby shop one day, and saw a sign on my way out. MARCS. I thought "What's that?" So i picked it up and read about it. I went to the meeting and joined the club. I met an older member who in my opinion had a heart of gold. I set up a day with him, and we worked on a buddy box system, he taught me everything. I was soloing after only 1 training flight with him. That was 2 years ago and since then i have been in love with this hobby. Sure the crashes hurt, but get with a club and soon you'll discover that maybe you con do it , you just need a little help, and someday when your a great pilot you can start trraining the guys that are in your situation, trust me it feels great.
