Just finishing up my Venus II. (Funny how the last 5% of the work takes me 20% of the time!) I showed it to a more experienced club member and he thought that the book throws on the elevator (9/16" high rate, 3/8" low) would not have enough authority when landing. I did read thru this entire thread last year and do not remember anyone having any issues with these throws. So, are the book throws enough to land it?? How about low rates?

I have a Saito 125 and plan to run a 16x6 prop to start. AUW is 8.5#.
