Simple, cheap, easy to get, trivial to install...

Epoxy a metal washer onto the affix points on the canopy, and a magnet into the fuse.
I may use a drill bit in the fuse the same size as a round magnet, then affix a small wood square behind the hole.
Once dry I'll glue the magnet in place, which sits flush with the existing wood.

Your local craft store tends to have the small magnets in both small square and circular shapes.
