RE: Kadet Senior - Taildragger Conversion -Mains
Just my two cents. If you want to fly with a gasser on the front, a 20cc is about all you really want. I had a 30cc converted Ryobi on the nose of a Kadet taildragger and she flew really bit**in' till the wing decided to do weird things and she lawn darted. Too much weight. A new Kadet taildragger with an RCGH side carb 20cc still had me nervous about some of the pull outs from any aerobatics, but she would go vertical and hover for about 10 seconds! I mounted the elevator servo in the tail and spread the flight and ignition batteries down the fuse to balance. The motor just became a bear to start and keep running so she soon fell out of favor with me. Now, she has an OS 80 FS up front and I just putt around doing slow and graceful aerobatics. My suggestion, keep it light. But, anyway, you'll have fun!
