This is how I do it

1- set throttle servo arm in the middle (90 degrees to pushrod)
2-set the carb at half throttle with the length of push rod,,
3- adjust the ''End points''s in the Tx so the servo doesn't bind at either extreme

may have to adjust for throttle trim and throttle stop, but that pretty much it
