RE: looking to get into FPV
Things I will eventually change:
Try another 0SD as eagle tree is good hardware but forever to figure out... Documentation is not good. Don't know if RV is better but can't be worse..
My power in the EZs are eflite 370 with castle thunderbird 54, surplus rating is necessary because it is inside foam with no air.. Works good . I use the mounts from Readymade and make an additional plate to raise the motor for a cut Dow 9-4 prop..quiet and woks good...
I hate foam planes but can't beat the Easy Star.. Like I said I hate foam.. But when learning.......
For a cheap easy start up try a Go Pro on a basic airplane. Freaking quality video, 1080p like you wont see again. Add the tx, then the OSD as you go along... This is a bunch of stuff to get your head around at one time.. Don't be tempted to order the low power stuff from hobby king unless you are into indoor foams.. They lie about the power and the camera is junk and the RX has connector like your tv..
Best help and service has been from Tim at Ready made ( actually answers emails and reads/answers your question) .. Range video has good documentation and good stuff with an excellent forum.. Although email is slow.. Both are good and don't sell junk..again go slow, I didn't and it cost me (not my personality, unfortunately) ... But boy it is fun...
