I guess the conversation went like this:

Fellow pilot: Gee Pierre...it sure looks like you had a ton of up elevator in it on that last landing.

Pierre: Yep.

Fellow pilot: Wow...looked like almost 40 degrees you had in it.

Pierre: Yep.

Fellow pilot: Why 40 degrees?

Pierre: Because I could not get 55 out of it before it plowed in!
