Just doing rough terrian trials of the gear. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Good day today with 3 flights. The gear did well and it was pretty much just gas and go (and pop the dang ball link socket back on that errant door. We'll get that tamed during the week. Thanks for the photos.
Regards,
Jim

I guess the conversation went like this:
Fellow pilot: Gee Pierre...it sure looks like you had a ton of up elevator in it on that last landing.
Pierre: Yep.
Fellow pilot: Wow...looked like almost 40 degrees you had in it.
Pierre: Yep.
Fellow pilot: Why 40 degrees?
Pierre: Because I could not get 55 out of it before it plowed in!
Ba ha ha ha!

Beeve, Bah ha ha ha! Hey, I was keeping the nose gear from digging in. That, and I only just finished vacuuming the rocks out of it from the B.S. (big slide) first landing. I could have gotten to 55 if I hit the high rates.
A lot of people have commented that the main gear look like the talons of a bird of prey. True, but that's only when the plane is right-side-up. I just noticed that, when inverted, it sort of looks like "hands up". Alas, I fear it will always be known as the "Surrender" jet.
Shaun, yep it's coming to Kentucky. It's the prototype Fei Bao Mirage F-1 that Pablo flew in early 2009. Only four were ever made and, as I understand it, this is the only one flying (and certainly the only one that the gear works). Looking forward to burning some kero at KY Jets!
