Campgems your'e right about the 1/2 reduction in cam traveling compared to the crank!
In fact all we are all right about the how the cam should be mounted!
When placing the cam in you have to be aware of the spiral gear and place the cam so that it sits at 6 o'clock when fully seated...that means you have to begin putting it in at about 5 o'clock.
Just checked my NIB OS FS .40 and FS .91. Both have the cam dot at six o'clock with the T-mark pointing at the forge mark on the housing....and have the dot pointing at about eleven o'clock when the crank is turned one full turn.
So w8ye and I are both right!
But it's much easier to see how the dot is placed having the cam dot at six o'clock.
The cam lobe covers the dot at eleven o'clock.
