Gregg, those ammo boxes on the fenders are a toy makers fantasy and wouldn't be there after the tank ran 100 yards down the road. Korean War, Pershings and M-46s either used a bar, cable or folded up the center skirts to hold them in place. WW II, you should just pry them off and smooth out where they were glued on.
