Default RE: using a seperate BEC

Question
I am setting up a model airplane to use an electric motor that will draw approx. 50 amps. The supplier provided a 60amp ESC and a seperate BEC. How do I hook the BEC up in this system?

Answer

Just connect the BEC to the battery and the output to the receiver battery port.

If the brushed motor ESC has a built in BEC ist must be disabled by disconnecting the red wire from the ESC to the receiver. The red pin can be removed from the ESC plug to the receiver and taped or the red wire can be cut and taped. Removing is the best/neatest solution.

That should do it.
