I flew my GP P-47 with a Saito .40 and tried several different retracts. By far the best were the e-flite .10-.15 size electric retracts. The GP .10 mechanical retracts were what I started with. They worked, but required a lot of tweaking.
I crashed that plane and now have the same gear in the GP .25 Spitfire. It's a faster plane but not nearly as stable as the Jug,
