at high flow rates it can cause and add to static build up in flight. I use the BVM UAT on most of my stuff, however have used alternatives (MAP ) on the big block engines . The UAT also can't handle high flow volume all to well with its small fittings, and even JetCat has suggested that if running a BVM UAT, running 2 in parallel might be a good idea on the big 45lbs+ engines to facilitate adequate flow without sucking the UAT in on itself
