RE: Seagull Models extra 300s .75
Just helped Psyched get his Seagull Extra 300S up and running. He powered his with an OS Max .75 and it's waay overpowered with that engine. We flew it with a 14x8 and that's definitely too much prop. Still, I like the plane. Be ready with the rudder and throttle up gently as previous posters have mentioned, and this thing will jump off the ground quickly and easily. We used the factory CG setting and it works just fine. No need for lead; Psyched used a 5 cell battery behind the servo tray to balance it. The plane is a keeper; it pretty much stays where you put it and flies nicely. The landing was smooth and easy; didn't realize I was landing crosswind until I touched down. Throws were all set to factory settings except the elevator; I added just a bit more on low.
