I checked your photos; we put the 5 cell NiMH battery in the bay behind the servos, up on the side of the fuse opposite the cylinder head. It came out spot on the factory CG that way, with no added lead. Our final weight was a bit over 7 lbs - what did you get for a finished weight? You're right; with the 14x8 K series, this thing is a rocket! Still, I'm impressed with the airplane: good manners, more than enough control authority, and it flies very light and easy on the sticks. Psyched is interested in being able to use more throttle and keeping the speed moderate rather than just blazing around; we'll try a 14x6 next. What tach readings are you getting on your OS Max .75 with that 14x8?
