Default RE: Type of material for scratch building

ORIGINAL: George Jure

Hi Mad Modder,

Thanks for the Fast reply. I forgot to mention that I am scratch building a 1/16 Tank. I have the lower hull from a donated Tank with it`s running gear as well. So I need to construct the Upper Half etc. It must be able to hold up to I.R R.C. battles outdoors and in the heat.

So I need a recommendation for plastic sheet thickness. Also where can I get plastic sheet with diamond pattern on its surface for open floor use in the tank?

Thanks Again for Any help.

George

Diamond plate source.........fast delivery, good prices. I get everything from this outfit.

1/8th inch styrene works for me a lot. 3/16 inch is stiffer, sometimes I use that for big models, like the Elefant. I never found a need for 1/4 inch for a 1/16th scale model.
