Default RE: chit chat thread

Speedie goes in the slot provided.

I have my batts shoved hard against the first dividing wall back from the motor. And a couple of small peices of velcro to stop it rocking free.

I'll take a pic of how I have mine set up.

You should have two lil dimples on the upper wing surfaces that show you where the CG is.

I'm running a 6x6 Cam Speed prop - might be a bit hot for the stock ESC, but if you're putting a 40A, that would work ok. Anything in the 5.something x 5.something range would be ok too.

About the pic: Battery is angled sideways - parallel to the angled wall in that bay. Double-check your battery for fit once you've decided where to put it - the canopy section won't go on if the battery stands too tall (that's why I layed my over - secured with a couple of bits of velcro so it can't flop around in there).

Rx is up the back - away from the the RF of the Motor and Speedie. Speedie is shoved down into the slot provided.

Elevator servo arm runs a barrel/grub screw instead of that stupid z-bend. If you have to adjust the elevator linkage length, you'll soon know why I did this. The linkage arm and clevis are not the original - I happened to have one of the thinner link rods with decent thread and a good clevis lying around to do the job - didn't like the way the stock rod screwed into the stock clevis - it felt like it could pull out real easy, even when threaded through over half way.

You can just make out the CG dimples about a cm out from the fuze and around 3cm back from the LE - the one just behind the bruise on the left wing is easier to see.

Have fun
