Also, I sprayed the inside of the canopy with silver paint, Rustoleum or similar. I put silicone goop for fish tanks around the inside rim of the canopy after the paint was completely dry. Then I put plastic wrap over the canopy area of the fuse, and gently pressed down the canopy. After 24 hours I took the whole thing apart and then installed the canopy with the screws. That left a silicone seal around the inside bottom of the canopy. I think that will prevent exhaust from getting in under it.
