Default This isn't going to work... Is it?

Howdy,
I have 2 Tx/Rx sets I can use laying around for a Kinetic 800 mini glider I ordered. I am use to flying mini planes/helis with stock supplied 2.4GHz TXs with 4AA power source (Low power I guess). This kinetic is more capable than any other aircraft I have owned so I am worried the stock Tx/Rx sets I have are inadequate.
Here is what I have

Tx/Rx from Belt CP V2 (totaled) esky et6i 6ch

Tx/Rx from Eflite CX3 LP5DSM and 3in1 receiver
This system shouldnt work since the receiver has a gyro built in. Right?

The Esky controller is definitely on the cheap side and I dont think 4AA power source is enough for the range.

So I have been looking around and money is tight right now. I do not have the cash to spend on a tx/rx over 100 dollars for now. Only options are the FS-ct6b for 40 bucks 6ch or FS-TH9X 9 channel.

I've been trying to find good reviews on these two products and I have on the FS-TH9X but havent found much on the ct6b. My thing is I dont mind paying for the FS-TH9X but if it isnt that great of a system then I would rather spend it on the ct6b and upgrade early next year.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
