Martin,
Many of the early models (and full scale) airplane designs from England had great appeal, and a lot of them had great performance to match.
One of my favorites was also a FF design called the ''Black Magic'', and I still have the Aeromodeller issue it was presented in, with perhaps unrealistic hopes of ever building it some day. [

The Lady Bird is one I'd never seen before, and I'm delighted that you gave us a picture of your soon to be restored example, and Ray provided us with the links to current kits, and plans. I'm not saying that I will ever build one, but I hope to see yours in flying condition one day. The new R/C gear is so light compared to what I flew over ten years ago, that I doubt weight would be a problem.
I realize that nostalgia is a very poor subsitute for the ambition to build these wonderful designs when they first appeared, but it's the best I can do at my age. R/C assist is about all I can hope for, as chasing wayward FF models is no longer viable.

Bill,
the plan I posted above is just a low resolution jpeg. You can download a fullsize scan pdf including parts pattern from:
http://www.outerzone.co.uk/plan_details.asp?ID=715
A similar fullsize scan of the "Black Magic" plan is also available. Most of the classic Aeromodeller/Model Aircraft plans are there.
See:
http://www.outerzone.co.uk/ You do a search there for the models name.
