Understood, John. Just saw you're a long time modeler. Me too, just new to R/C. There are complete vintage full kits of yore available on eBay, if you're of a mind. I've bought a lot of good stuff from eBay, some don't like it though. I check the kit manufacturing names and just under Pattern.
There is a Mach 1 on RCU right now.
RCGroups often sees vintage Classic Pattern kits for sale, too.
I'm into the glass and foam kits, myself.
Troublemaker is a good looking model. Short kits aren't bad, you get to pick your own wood density at least!
