The nose steering tiller will need to be a smooth shaft instead of threaded.
Unless the eyelet is right on the axis of rotation in which case the tiller and eyelet rotate about that axis and the pushrod doesn't move from it's fixed position. Connecting the pushrod to a location other than the axis of rotation has always been problematic for me...
