To all our Diggers, past and present - thankyou for the Sacrifices you have made so that we may live as we do.

And while the battle still rages for our troops overseas, there are others who undermine our basic standards of living in our own Country - and they're getting away with it.

Touchè for Adelaide - where they dropped Poppies from the sky. What a magnificent thing to do.

While here in Melbourne, they tried to sack an employee for wearing one. The Globe has gone mad. Why are we pandering to those who want us to ban the things that define us? Christmas and the hallowed 'Nativity Scene'. Easter. Wearing a Poppy in remembrance of those who gave their lives so that we may live in a 'free' Country.

Who are these people who come here and use the very Democracy they despise to try to take that same Democracy away from us?

Our Democracy.

Our fallen.

Who gave so much - the ultimate price - so that we may never have to endure that pain again.

I raise my glass today and say "Cheers Diggers".
