Yeah, I'm like you in that I don't care to play video games, and at first training on the sim was more of a chore than fun.

I didn't have a kit under construction at the time I started, and at least it kept me from cruising the net and buying stuff when the weather was bad.

Anyway, though it is no substitute for practicing in the air, I think a decent simulator can be pretty valuable.
