1.2 size plane is too big for standard (hitec 311). I would use Hitec 645 on the elevator and rudder and 2ea 485 on the ailerons, use the 311 for your throttle.
I disagree, the airplane is a warbird and when flown properly, a standard servo is fine. I see guys doing aerobatics with 90'' Cubs all the time on standard servos and they do fine. A bigger servo like you suggest won't hurt anything, but I don't feel it is an absolute necessity.
So putting a servo on a plane with 90" wingspan with only 42oz of torque is safe and responsible? Go to
WWW..hitecrcd.com and look up the specs on the different servos. The hs635 with 69oz of torque is reommended for only planes up to 72" wingspan, which is about the size of 1.2 warbird. I've seen an 85" warbird where the buider used hitec standard servo on the elevator and it didn't complete 1 circuit before the servo failed and the plane crashed. The pilot/buider was a great flyer but was 16 years old; this is the difference between age and experience!
