I recently began using the ceranic style because I read it prevents air from passing and minimizes air intrainment, don't know if it is true or not but i ran a tank out on the ground and mixture remained constant until the end. Before that I never used a filter anywhere, just keep the gas can closed while not in use.The fuel filter in the car passes thousands of gallons without plugging, maybe I'm just lucky. Been a weekend gas flyer since 1989.
