I think if you cared to read up or do any research on the cost of these radios before mindlessly posting your closed minded thoughts, you'll know that the 8FG is well within his posted budget of under $550.

Edit: and if he was considering a DX8, then he can certainly consider an 8FG for the same money. And how do you "know" that digital trims are better? Just because you think so makes someone else that likes analog trims wrong, i guess.
