Default RE: Radio Systems for 3D

I was very lucky in that I was offered a "new" 8fg 2nd hand by a member of the club as he has so much cash to spend, he bought it, then the 14mz came into stock and he bought that straight away..
I'm flying helis, glow, scale and my 3d gasser. Love the 8fg.
For the price, I cant fault it. Its full of functions and looks "modern", cool and clean.
When I need to help members of the club program their 14mz's I even secretly think "my 8fg can do that quicker and with less faff!"
I can program anything I like, idle up for gasser planes, individual timers for plane flight time and for smoke, triple rates etc etc

What else do can I say.... was used in high end competition, very probably flown by a pilot with far higher skill level than "us" and its still relatively cheap..

In the end, I HONESTLY believe that there is no "right radio", get the one that fits your price, that you like the look of, even just get the one that the LHS stocks (for getting RX's etc!!), I WOULD like to say I am just missing out on some of the telemetry that other brands have and futaba doesnt.. but I think i'd still have gone for the 8fg, only because I already had my aircraft stocked with fasst.

To the OP:
Just remember, the world/Internet forums are exactly as cartman states at the end of this video...

Good luck in the search for YOUR radio!
