G'day Okinchi
I have just completed the build on my HET ME262. This model has electric retracts which work very well but I think they will not stand up to any sort of hard landing as they are for models up to 2.5kg. I am very concerned about the finished weight of this model which is 3kg without paint. I have 2 x 3700mAh 4S batteries up front and the model is still slightly tail heavy which means I still have to add weight. My fan and motor choice also are not up to scratch with this weight. I chose a hobbyking 2800kv setup on 4S. They claim 1.2kg of thrust each but I doubt they will give that amount. I think I will go for a HET typhoon setup as they can get 4000kv+ which will be better for this weight. Any updates from anyone else??
