Some say go easy on the discharge for the first 5 cycles....

All I do is charge at 1c for the first charge.

To work out a batteries c rating....
Let's say u have a lipo that is 5000mah, with 25c discharge and 1c charge
To work it out u divide the mah rating by 1000 then times it by the c rating
5000/1000=5 5x25(discharge)= 125a
5000/1000=5 5x1(charge)=5a
That means it can be charged at 5amps and can be used safely on a brushless system of around 100amps, never max out specs of batteries to a ESC, sometimes they lie
