That's about what I expected. This one comes in at 8 3/4 lbs with an Kraft .61 and Kraft radio (KPS-14 servos). The airplane less wings weighs 6 lbs. I guess I will have to order some cores from Eureka Aircraft and build a new set. Even with glass and paint I should be able to knock off a pound with just new wings. Sand off the fuselage and refinish should get the rest of the weight with a modern radio, lipo and smaller servos.
