RE: Learning Progress to more manuvers , planes?
Thanks for posting the progress guys, it is interesting to see the differing steps that we all take. Today had to be one of my best flying days yet.
9 planes and 0ver 20 flights , most of them were nice long flights too. A few very nice landings , 1 not so nice landing (I guess it is called a stall or wing stall?)
I'm doing lots more loops, rolls and inverted flights. My loops are getting bigger and more like a perfect circle. My rolls are getting a bit better, but are still junky. My inverted flight is getting a lot better , but I'm still a bit scared to do a lap inverted. I can do it on the sim real easy. I'll get it soon.
I have said that next season is the "sport plane" season for me , but I was able to maiden my 2nd Flylite and my Super sportster and flew them both twice. Guess which plane is my new favorite? The sportster. It's kinda small at 40" , but makes a very nice large loop and is very nice to fly.
I was also able to 2nd flight a few that I've been waiting on and troubleshoot a few too.
Flylite had 2 good flights and is trimmed and ready to train my first student.
Falcon had 1 nice slow flight and bent the nose wheel back AGAIN landing in grass. I can almost set it down on the trampoline , but am a bit scared.
Skyfly Max had 4-5 great noisy flights and hit the LVC finally at 15 minutes.
Switch w/ high wing had 4-5 very nice flights , some aggressive and a lot of inverted. I am ready for the low wing swap. It's nice to fly 15-20 minutes on this.
4' Piper Cub had 1 boring (first) flight for 16 minutes.
2' Mini piper had another poor problem flight for 5 minutes diagnosing it and fighting with trims.
Sensei had 2 nice long flights with lots of loops and some inverted. 2 decent landings , but caught the rear stab on an invisible tree I forgot about. Tore it in two and landed nicely.
3' Piper had maiden flight since BL conversion and still has bad problem. Spent flight trying to diagnose.
Super Sportster had 2 good flights 8 minutes and then 15 minutes. Nice plane.
Can't remember the rest , but all in all a good day for me.
