I would advise against locked rear end for on road. Most vehicles that are made to turn do not use locked front or rear diffs, or centers if available, as the wheels need to rotate at different speeds through a turn, which is the point behind a ''limited slip'' or otherwise not locked axle set up. Locked will take away from turning, but give you a bit more oomph in straight lines.
that was my thinking as well. not sure if that axle can be unlocked or not.
