Well I found a little problem that I would not have figured out unless I did this project today.....but more on that later...

I started the upper hull today....broke out my 1:35 model for refernce....

and pulled out the angle finder.....

shows 30 degrees....thats 60 degrees off 90....tht is a lot different than the kt...

Its showing 37 degrees so thats 53 degrees off 90 so the front armor needs to loose 7 degrees from the front.

and adding around 6mm of plastic gets my 60 degrees......Have you seen the mistake yet?
Next I cut the side plates flat and added some plastic to fill in the gap madeby the new armor angles....

Then it hits me.....On the e50, the front armor covers the side plates

the side plates peak through lower front armor but just a little it for the toe hooks .....so my first stab at making the upper and lower armor are fubar....this is very different than the kt...back to the cutting boards.....
