Thanks for the advice guys I really appreciate it. The  ofna is definitely high on my radar, not only because of the suggestions here, but in all my reading everybody has only had good things to say about it, but I would be concerned with the ground clearance as it would probably never see a track. Sooo, no love for traxxas eh? Aesthetically , and visually they look of good quality , and an inventive design to me, but I really know nothing about them. Can someone explain to me why the traxxas is a bad choice? It seems as though at least the slash has been a successful truck, no?
