Once people figured out you could just buy them at the hardware store I don't think a lot of the LHS stocked them. The ones Dubro sold were a heavier material and worked very well. I just use a washer soldered onto wire gear and I use the wheel collars on screw on axles. Sometimes just washers loose if the plane has wheel pants. Whatever works.
