Pete, I have a lot of the outer wear and other clothing I formerly used (when I was a fit young lad) for winter mountaineering. It still fits - barely! - and is useful for cold-weather flying.
I got out to fly quite a few times last winter, the coldest day being 8 degF. I was having fun just doing donuts with my Avistar.
I can say this without any fear of contradiction: When it's 8 deg and there is a couple feet of snow on the ground, you'll pretty much have the field all to yourself.[8D]
