I made the nose removable after a nose gear failure! [&o]
I used it for mounting the turbine battery, it worked well on mine to get the c of g right.
It's attached via a screw thread right at the nose tip!
I'm not sure that this will work for you, but if you like I can upload some pics to show how it was done.
