Default RE: how to construct removable nose cone on Tornado for transport ?

Here we go!
You can see that the lip is made up from 1/64 Plywood sections layered up (over lapping), bonded with C1 Cyno! The centre section is actually soft Balsa laminated with 1/64 ply (light and very strong)! The brass insert I turned up myself, the thread size is M3. To get the threaded tip in the right place, I drilled the hole in the nose cone first! Holding the nose in place by hand, I used a scribing block pointing to the centre of the hole. Without moving anything else, I removed the nose and placed the centre section in position and tack glued it in, then checked for alignment! When happy, it was glued into place with balsa reinforcement!
All you need to finish then is a 4 inch brush and a pot of black paint! (only joking).

Regards

John
