I also have the Align starter and use it in a similar way as Steve does.
Mine happily spins 40cc and even 50cc class provided I turn the prop backwards to allow some runup across the compression point.
I have used it on the MVVS50 with success

CustomPC, no need not to buy the engine out of concerns about your starter, you can always use the "built in one" (your fingers)
