With the advent of 2.4 Ghz all manufacturers that I have seen, in instructions for their recievers
recommend not wrapping the unit.
This is because the voltage regulator may overheat thus the need for airflow through the fuselage. 
The rx operates at about 2.5 volts regardless of the input voltage 4.8 or 6.
Wrapping is ok for 72 Mhz or 27 Mhz  NOT 2.4 Ghz.
