Mike, you took the words right out of my mouth. I decided to get a PST Reaction X as a first jet. I labored long and hard over which engine. I did really like the P100, but learned that many Reaction ARF's were coming in at 24/26 lb's and I wanted 1:1 ration without running the turbine full tilt all the time or ever. So I ordered a Cheetah and will just turn it down a bit. Talked to some who have the K80 and said it takes a while to get off grass. I think 22lbs thrust is the least I would put in one. Better to have the power and not use it than never have enough. The Cheetah is not much bigger or heavier than the the P100, costs a bit more, but has the power to fly most jets that someone would fly after the Reaction.

I considered the P140RX but didnt want to pay for it. I almost did a K140, but decided to let weight make up my mind and the Cheetah is lighter. I have spoken to a fellow that has had both the K80 and then the k140. His view was that the flying and especially takeoffs were anemic with the K80 off grass. The K140 made the Reaction ARF into a different animal!
