OK... I do have to butt in again, but there are 2 things going on...
1) Yes... the nice thing to do is to help with the fire, and not bring up the expense of refilling the extinguisher. (That would be the "Bro" thing) BUT... 2) If I help with a crashed model... I would expect to be reimbursed.
I'm the kind of guy that will give you the shirt off my back, but if it's not appreciated, you won't get help again. Also... Knowing the kind of money lost... if the person who crashed would at least offer to pay for the refill... I would not take his money. BUT, if he never offered to take care of me, or if they act like it's expected... then I'll be the guy watching his model burn the next time.
We do this for fun, and everyone should think about everyone else. I don't care what kind of money is lost (it's part of the hobby) the offer of compensation should always be made.
