Back in 1986 when I was in the Civil Engineering Heavy Equipment Shop at Edwards AFB, we'd always get Equipment Today trade magazines thru base distribution. Guess distribution figured construction equipment ad periodicals MUST automatically go to where equipment operators work...

We'd throw'em on the break tables for something to look thru during lunch. One day I saw this ad about this scale D11 High-Track dozer being built in Tennessee. Looked like something I'd REALLY be interested in so I sent the spine card in to'em. Couple weeks later I got this info in the mail!! WISHED I'd have had the money back then to have ordered one!

Figure the prospective buyers were mostly rich construction company owners who also received Equipment Today and could afford such a 'toy' back then...

And, remember, the prices listed are 1980's prices (and they're STILL a good chunk today for a model!) so ya have to figure out what the price today would be IF they were still being made...

And this old military 'Heavy Junk Driver' would LOVE to have a sturdy RC dozer too! I watch'em on youtube and I occasionally check ebay in the hopes somebody who bought one of these big RC dozers back then may want to sell it!
