How do you find the Aurora 9 2.4 is for programming compared to other units?
I want to step up from my JR XP 7202 & Hitec Eclipse 7 to get into the 2.4 technology.
I will still keep and use the old 72's but have acumilated several toys that fly in the 2.4 range.
I also want to be able to replace the toy type of tx units that came with my 2.4 toys and use a full function tx like the Aurora 9 or the Eclipse 7 Pro etc.
Your thoughts?

I will try to answer your question with what imput I can. Have been using the Aurora now since its first release and now I bought a second. My Hitec 2.4 Rx count is just over fifty now with around forty five installed and flying. Also I do have the full telemetry system in use in one airplane (my cross country ship) .
I started tentively 2.4 with XPS in an old JR 10SX Prior to this I used three Prism 7x's and three Eclipse 7's along with the lonely old JR.
With hitec's release of their system I deactivated my five ships with XPS systems and my intent was to slowly add the Hitec well the system worked so well that, all went by the wayside and I completely converted my entire fleet in under two years.
Now the A9's are quite an adventure and I am finding much of the programing and capabilitys seem to run similar to the Futaba 12FG. My buddy who uses that system and I have worked together with the two systems and can see many paralells.
We were both especially interested in the buddy cord systems in each and both are light years ahead in what they both can do. Actually the 12FG had one advantage there in that it can use the cordess buddy cord and that is a hugh advantage. That is my one regret that Hitec has no such system.
If you get an A9 don,t even think about not also getting the HPP 22 which allows you to store airplanes on your home computer for quick recovery and therefore you are not limited to the thirty plane storage. Also the HPP 22 is a must for updating your receivers, modules and the A9 or Eclipse Pro as they become avaliable.
Its also for this reason I recommend using either the seven or nine channel Optimas as they can be updated at home with the 22. The seven channel rx's must be sent in.
Hope this helps
