Thoken
What frequency (channel #) was the Transmitter formerly on?
What frequency (channel #) is the new crystal you installed in the transmitter?
Is this Challanger AM or FM(ppm)?
Did you select Futaba brand crystals and did you select Futaba AM or FM crystals?
I will stick by my orignal post (post #4) I beleve investing in this unit for new batteries and crystals is/was a bad plan as well as a waste of money for you as a new flyer.

For about 2 to 3 minutes they were moving all on there on, every which a way. Then they settle down, but are just real jittery. I order them from towers and spoke with a sales person and told them exactly what I had. Fubtaba Contender 26 rx 72.310 type 72.10. They sent me rx 26 72.310 type 72-12.

OK Thoken here is the problem. You are not answering the question about the transmitter itself. Is it a am radio and does it say AM or FM anywhere on the Transmitter?
Now where did the Receiver come from, was it the original receiver that came with this transmitter? Does it say AM or FM anywhere on this receiver and if so which?
Heres the deal if you have a AM transmitter then you must have an AM receiver. In addition to this I beleve the crystal you bought for the receiver is a FM crystal but if this transmiter and receiver is AM units then that crystal must be an AM crystal.

FM, Orginal receiver Original transmitter fm26
Receiver had a 72.310/72-10 Transmitter had a 72.310/72-7
They sent me Futaba replacement parts rx short 72.310 fm26
They sent 72.310/72-12 and 72.310/72-7
Is the 72-12 verses the 72-10 my problem?
