Different timers. The one that can be reset with a touch of the screen, is the individual flight timer. There is another, hidden, total ''time on'' timer. It can be reset, but the function is burried, and not easily accesable.

Go into the SYSTEM->DATE/TIME screen. Bottom middle "System Timer", you can select either "Model" or "Total" for the timer. Select "Total" and you can reset it. At least on mine you can, because I just did it a few times!!.
If there is yet another timer somewhere I am not aware of it. Can you tell me how to find it??
