Default RE: IS-2 Buld thread

ORIGINAL: Harvey S

I'm so thrilled you took on this project and took the time to share it with us. I've been corresponding with Frank in Germany and had been contemplating taking the plunge on the IS2 kit and reading this thread this morning was really informative. Now that it's all done and the model finished, what are your final impressions of the kit? It's clearly expensive but do you think it good value, overall? What would you say was the worst aspect of the kit, and the best?

Again, thanks for this. It made my day to stumble on this thread!

impressions.
1. kit made very well, understanding it is a craftsman type kit.
2. lot's of reference material and patience needed to make it look right.
3. expensive but someone has to pay for the kit engineering and Frank did a good job with that.
4. i would build it again.
