RE: magazine
No RC Armor magazines.
Some of you may remember AFV-G2 magazine published to the mate 1970 early 1980s(?). Went belly up after that.
Very unfortunate as I really enjoyed it. Still have stacks of the old issues. It was focused on 1:1 scale but had modeling articles as well. Loved the paint chips glued to pages; it was a strictly black and white format otherwise.
Museum Ordnance was another, I believe it is also gone.
I published a semi yearly newsletter on RC armor in the very late 1980-very early 1990s; a short run. It was more or less taken over by a local chap here and made into a quarterly affair "Recon Report" ( by Rich Upton ). Microscopic circulation.
There was a British magazine publisher that dedicated a section to large scale AFVs for a while but it also went belly up
after a relatively short time.
Wasn't there a eZine published by that chap out of New Zealand for a while? Never got into that one.
Other than the odd article in other mags ( I wrote one for RCM, now also defunct, which was published in 1992 ) there
hasn't been much. A lot of interest in the hobby has been transitory in nature; when the new wears off the interest is cast aside.
It may sound as an interesting notion, to publish a magazine on the hobby, but anyone taking it on will quickly exhaust the existing news worthy subjects....
Good luck and don't plan on quitting yer day job...
