I want to make a front bumper out of steel; and see if I can make a dual exhaust using the stock exhaust can; don't know if making the a bit bigger diameter for two pipes will increase the performance.
I guess you are very lucky if you notice any difference in performance at all. Extending the pipe from the stock exhaust can will in fact decrease performance a bit. How are you going to design the pipes? Are you going to have them at the back of the car, or on the sides sticking up in the air?
